Tahrin Siddiqua, MD,FAAP, DABOM

PEDIATRICS

Tahrin Siddiqua, MD,FAAP I am a Cypress Fairbanks area native; I attended Horne and Francone Elementary, Campbell and Cook Middle School, and graduated from Jersey Village High School. As the youngest of eight children, I had a wealth of role models. My formative interests ranged from science to political science. I decided to pursue medicine because I love working with people and having the privilege to be a part of their lives.

Never straying from Texas, I obtained a psychology degree from the University of Houston, medical degree from Texas Tech Health Science Center, and completed my residency at Scott and White. Following residency, I worked in a private practice in Porter, TX before founding NW Cypress Pediatrics and Family Medicine with my wonderful husband.

The Cypress Fairbanks area is my home and I feel blessed to be raising our daughters Anaya and Jenna in the same area that I grew up in. You might see me biking around town or at the park with the family.

I love pediatrics and feel fortunate to be a part of your lives.

FAMILY MEDICINE

Jahangir Kabir, MD,FAAFP Coming from a family lineage of physicians, I knew that I wanted to join the honorable ranks of others before me. Upon completion of medical school I obtained one year of training in surgery and medicine. I then trained another year in OB/Gyn. Realizing I wanted to help a wider array of people, I decided to pursue family medicine and finally found my love of caring for the entire family.

After completing my residency at The Methodist Hospital in Houston, I decided to open a true patient centered medical home, NW Cypress Pediatrics and Family Medicine with my loving wife.

Leading a healthy lifestyle, I enjoy soccer and football, spending time with family, community organizations and charity.

PEDIATRICS

Monique Gittens, MD, FAAP

I knew I wanted to be a doctor since I was 7 years old! I obtained my Medical Degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. I then went on to complete my Residency Training for Pediatrics at Loma Linda Children’s Hospital in Loma Linda, California. Now, as a board certified Pediatrician, I am a strong believer in providing whole person care; which involves the physical, mental, social, cultural, and emotional needs of my patients.

Becoming a mother while in Medical School, and again in Residency, has led me to being especially empathetic to the needs of new parents. I find the first years of life to be a crucial time of development for patients, as well as their parents.

As a first generation Caribbean-American, I pride myself on maintaining an open mind to cultural diversity. I value being able to have open, honest conversations with my patients and their families regarding their specific needs.

Ulka Shah, MD, FAAP
PEDIATRICS

Ulka Shah, MD, FAAP I was born in Boston and moved to Houston in 1989 and have been here since. From an early age I loved science and knew I wanted to pursue medicine. I realized parents were ready to change some of their habits if it benefited the child, thus I could potentially help two people at the same time. I love kids’ innocence and ability to believe in miracles. In my spare time I love watching movies, painting, and spending time with my family. I am a proud mother of one boy and one girl and love watching them grow.
